Hello Friends,

My name is Fred McDonald and I want to take a minute to tell you a few reasons why my wife, Kay and I are supporting Richard for State Representative.

We firmly believe that Richard is a man of Christian faith, and he will take those beliefs to Nashville and represent us with honesty and integrity. We need more people like Richard that will stand up for biblical principles and protect our christian heritage.

With ObamaCare coming down the pipeline soon, we have to elect people, like Richard who will use his healthcare experience to protect families like mine and yours. Richard has seen first hand how government regulations are not only killing medical practices but our small businesses as well.

We hope that you will join us in supporting our friend Richard

Early Voting is almost over.
Remember to vote for Richard Garvin on August 2nd in the Republican Primary.

Blessings,

Dear Friends,

“If you got a business, you didn’t build that, someone else made that happen.”

These were remarks made by President Obama last week as he was speaking to an audience concerning job creation.

I firmly believe President Obama is out of touch with the American people and the business community. His policies are killing small businesses like my family’s medical practice in Smyrna, and causing families like yours and mine to suffer. This is one of the reasons why I will not be supporting President Obama this fall. We have to elect Mitt Romney in November.

While my opponent seems to have my 2008 vote for Obama as a part of her platform, I’ve been talking with the good folks in our district about my plan to cut taxes and regulations on our small businesses, hold the line against ObamaCare, and keep our communities safe.

It’s no surprise that my opponent has begun her negative campaign against me, but we can’t let that stop us.
Now more than ever, we need your support. If you would like to volunteer please fill out the form on our website or contact Corey@RichardGarvin37.com

There’s a clear choice in this election. We can go down the same road of the same political insiders or we can choose to discuss the issues our families are facing, stand up for God and country, and restore accountability to the capitol.

During the course of this election Mrs. White has refused to debate, hold a forum, or attend a town hall. Three times she has refused and she continues to ignore the voters of the 37th district. We can’t afford to send insiders like Mrs. White to represent us in Nashville when she refuses to even talk about the issues.

Let’s set a new standard in this election where we discuss the issues and share our solutions to the problems. The time for accountability and transparency is now and with your help we will win this election.

Early voting has begun and will continue through July 28th.

Stand with me on August 2nd.

Pressing Onward To Victory,

Today is a sad day for America. The Supreme Court’s decision to uphold ObamaCare is an attack on our families, business owners, and it is a threat to our state’s sovereignty. The Supreme Court decided to allow the individual mandate of ObamaCare and said it was a tax. It is with extreme disapointment to hear that the Supreme Court has decided that Obamacare is constitutional. I do not agree with the passing of this law. What started out as a mandate has now changed to a tax on the American people.

This is a defining moment in our nation’s history and it is very critical that we stand tall because ObamaCare is bad for America and for Tennessee. If I’m to become the first State Representative in the 37th district I will fight for our state’s rights and oppose any federal mandates because we will not raise taxes or go in debt to fund it.

Our campaign is set to start a full grassroots effort to reach every voter in the new 37th district for the Tennessee House of Representatives. Natara and I, will be traveling to every community in the district, from Murfreesboro to Walter Hill, Leanna to LaVergne and parts of Smyrna telling his story, and sharing his plan to put Tennesseans back to work. Our volunteers will be knocking on every door, touring local businesses, and sharing his vision and most of all, listening to the voters.

Over the past six months, I’ve listened to farmers, teachers, truck drivers, veterans, ministers, factory workers and many more people who keep our local economy running. All of these people have one thing in common; they don’t trust our government. Voters all over the district are tired of the same political insider politics that got us in the mess we’re in today. The people deserve someone different representing them in Nashville. I believe the lessons I’ve learned as a college professor as well as managing my dad’s medical practice, will allow me to make informed decisions on the issues facing our state. We will be visiting every voter in the district, from now until election day because every community counts, and nobody should be left out.

Obama vote. That seems like a lifetime ago for me. At that time in my life I was going through a philosophical metamorphosis and I gave him the benefit of the doubt. I saw the historic opportunity and McCain didn’t seem much different from Obama. While I have buyers regret, I’m certain I’d have buyers regret had I voted for McCain. Not long after the election I sent a letter to President Obama expressing my extreme disappointment in his administration. It was not the change and transformation I thought he would bring and I’ve pledged my support to candidate Mitt Romney. A lot has changed since November of 2008. I graduated college, received my Masters Degree, began teaching at Fisk University and got married.

Shortly after the 2008 election I threw my full support behind the Republican Party—the party my father has supported for over 30 years. My dad worked for the Reagan campaign in the Northeast. I’m proud to be a member of the same school of thought as folks like Allen West, Condoleeza Rice, Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, Herman Cain and Ronald Reagan. I’m a proud Republican, but most importantly I’m a proud conservative. I’m reaching out to other African Americans that have traditional values like me and care more about personal liberty, smaller government and our Constitution than handouts and empty campaign promises from Democrats. There’s an old saying about the value of having “skin in the game”. Well, I’ve got a lot of skin in the game. I didn’t take the path of least resistance. I chose the more difficult path, but a path I’m proud to be on and while I intend to be the 37th district’s representative, I also intend to do everything within my power to make sure Obama only serves one term.
