Richard Signs Pledge to Not Raise Taxes
Smyrna, TN – Tennessee House of Representatives Candidate, Richard Garvin, is proud to announce that he has signed Americans for Tax Reform’s Taxpayer Protection Pledge. This is a solemn pledge to oppose and vote against any unnecessary tax increase as an elected official.
Garvin stated, “Today I am honored to stand with Americans For Tax Reform, and I support their fight against unnecessary taxation from our government on the federal as well as the state level. When I’m elected to the state legislature, I will oppose any tax increases and I will stand up for small businesses and our families.”
The Taxpayer Protection Pledge was first signed by Ronald Reagan in 1986 and has become the standard for candidates that are true fiscal conservatives and believe in limited government on both the state and federal level.
Garvin also stated, “When elected, I will work to ensure that Rutherford County stays at the forefront of job creation by opposing a state income tax. The last thing Tennesseans need is more taxation. Therefore I am proud to have signed the Taxpayers Protection Pledge.”
